Own Your Story. Shape What's Next.

The Full Story
Leigh Bennett believes your past does not have to define your future.
While in college, Leigh made a decision that led to serving time in prison. Rather than allowing that chapter to define her life, she rebuilt from the ground up. Over the next 25 years, she built a successful career in Corporate America, held leadership roles, and discovered a passion for helping others navigate change and grow.
During her incarceration, Leigh served on a crime prevention public speaking team, sharing her story to help others avoid the same mistakes. After rebuilding her life, however, she buried that chapter - and the shame that came with it - for more than two decades.
Years later, quitting drinking marked another turning point and deepened her commitment to living intentionally. Writing A Terrible Waste of Potential: A Memoir of Failing Forward became the final step in embracing her past instead of hiding from it.
Today, through her writing, coaching, and speaking, Leigh helps others navigate change and figure out what comes next. Her work is grounded in a simple belief: where you are today is a starting point, not your destination.
Leigh lives in Mississippi and believes there’s always more to the story - and more possibility in what comes next.
